350 California is an existing 22-story bank building that was built in 1976. This Pre-Northridge Steel Moment Frame structure is located in the heart of a high seismic area in downtown San Francisco.
This voluntary upgrade used 136 dampers with integral extenders distributed across the lower 17 stories. Adding dampers reduced building drifts, limiting the number of Pre-Northridge connections that had to be strengthened.
